To transfer your domain away from GoDaddy you must do the following:
- Log in to your GoDaddy account.
- Go to Domains >> All Domains
- In the list of Domains in your account, click on the text link of the domain you wish to transfer away.
- Scroll down the page until you see "Domain lock" if it is not set to "Off" click on the Edit button and set the domain lock to "Off"
- Verify the email address for the Domain Admin contact is correct and you can receive email there. GoDaddy will send the authorization code to the admin email contact on file. You will need this code in order to place a domain transfer order at AVATAVA.
- Click on "Transfer domain away from GoDaddy"
- On the next page, you should see a Domain transfer checklist. Click "Continue with transfer" button.
- On the next page you should have the option to "Click here to see the Authorization Code" click the button and then click "Copy to Clipboard" You need to save this code as you will need to provide it when you place the order with AVATAVA and again when we send you an email to approve the domain transfer.
- Go to AVATAVA and start your domain transfer using the Authorization Code. Don't forget to save the authorization code in a safe place.
